We’re closing out 2025 with some major updates. Here’s what’s new since our November update:

Simulation Upgrade

We’ve overhauled our savings calculations to give you more accurate savings estimates for a wider variety of systems.

Off-peak Charging

Batteries will now simulate charging during off-peak periods—just like they behave in the real world. (Forced discharging coming soon…)

Existing solar with Battery Update (in-progress)

We’re making changes to how customers’ on-site usage is calculated. You will be able to directly enter the customer’s existing excess solar that is being fed back into the grid. This should make battery savings more straightforward.

Magic Eraser

Some customers may already have solar systems that need replacing or extending.

You can now remove existing panels from roofs. Simply brush over the panels you want to remove and they’re gone!

Line Item Improvements

Working with line items just got a whole lot faster.

• Multi-select: Select multiple line items at once. You can also Shift + Click across line items to select all line items in-between
• Bulk manipulation: Once selected, delete or move multiple line items together
• Drag-and-drop: Re-order multiple items with drag-and-drop

Commercial VEECs

Pylon now supports Victorian Energy Efficiency Certificates (VEECs) for commercial projects (up to 200kW).

• Removed tiny gaps between panel arrays
• Imagery layers now fall back automatically if one fails
• Added footnote for VPP
• Added footnote for Dynamic Export Limits
• Self-sufficiency % now shown in-app
• Blueprint PDF uploads now respect page orientation (portrait or landscape)
• Added hover state for Eraser Tool

API Improvements

• Battery STCs added to API

Bug fixes

• Fixed a bug where Mailchimp contacts were unable to trigger automations
• Fixed a bug where inverter numbering was wrong in the SLD
• Fixed a bug where financing terms table was rounding the interest rate
• Fixed a bug where some failed payments were shown as successful
