June 2026 Update
We’ve shipped a lot since our May update. Here’s what’s new:
- Optional Add-ons — let customers choose their own extras
- Amber VPP — Amber savings for Smartshift enabled batteries
- Multiple Financiers — Include multiple financiers when one isn’t enough
- Off-Peak Battery Charging — now works on time-of-use tariffs
- Ausgrid Grid Applications — submit connection applications without leaving Pylon
Optional Add-ons
You can now offer Optional Add-ons on a proposal, and let your customer decide which to include.
Bundle in the extras you’d normally leave off the headline price, such as EV chargers, hot water timers, or bird-guard.
It’s a clean way to include extras without cluttering your core quote.
Amber VPP
Pylon now displays Amber VPP savings via Amber’s live API.
For customers considering an Amber-enabled battery, Pylon pulls savings straight from Amber — no more guessing monthly revenue. We’ve also refreshed Amber’s VPP page in the proposal and updated the accompanying disclosures.
You can set up your Amber integration here.
Multiple Financiers (Early Access)
You can now include more than one financier in a single proposal, useful when a single loan, like the Solar Victoria loan, doesn’t cover the full system cost.
Home Energy Saver Loan
We’ve also added the products offered by Brighte and Plenti for the NSW Home Energy Saver Loan. Note this loan must be offered on its own.
Off-Peak Battery Charging for Solar Sharer Offer
Off-peak battery charging now works for time-of-use tariffs — built for the new Solar Sharer Offer.
From 1 July 2026, retailers in NSW, South-East Queensland and South Australia must offer households a plan with three hours of free electricity in the middle of the day (capped at 24 kWh).
With new support for Tiered and Export Time of Use tariffs, Pylon can now model batteries that charge from the grid during cheap off-peak windows — giving your customers a far more accurate picture of their savings as retailers roll out these plans.
Ausgrid Grid Applications
Submitting an Ausgrid connection application no longer means re-keying everything by hand.
Kick off the application straight from your project and Pylon carries the work across for you — your solar system and batteries flow through automatically, with the single line diagram is attached. Less double-entry of the same data.
