July 2026 Update
We’ve shipped a lot since our June update. Here’s what’s new:
- Custom SLD Editor — edit your Single Line Diagrams directly in Pylon
- NSW PDRS Battery Incentives — BESS1, BESS3, BESS4 & BESS5 PRCs support
- MCS Roof Splitting — per-roof calculations for compliant MCS reports
Custom SLD Editor
Your Single Line Diagram is no longer static; they are now fully editable directly inside Pylon.
Move components, adjust labels, and tweak the layout so the SLD matches exactly what you’re installing.
EV Chargers and commercial components will be added over the coming weeks.
Here’s a quick video:
NSW PDRS Battery Incentives
Pylon now models the NSW Peak Demand Reduction Scheme (PDRS) battery incentives for BESS1, BESS3, BESS4 and BESS5.
Select the BESS activity and Pylon will apply the appropriate quantity of eligible PRCs.
We will also provide warnings when the designed system is not applicable.
MCS Roof Splitting
For our UK installers: Pylon now splits arrays across individual roof faces for MCS calculations.
Each roof segment gets its own orientation, pitch and shading, so your MCS performance estimate and report are accurate for compliant, multi-face installs.
Improvements
- Automation email replies now go to the lead owner, not whoever triggered it
- Automation emails now send via your connected inbox when available

- New
proposals.viewedwebhook, so you’re notified the moment a customer opens their proposal - New
stc_quantity_breakdownis now available on the solar design object, showing how STC and Battery STC totals are calculated deeming_periodis now optional on the STC amount endpoint
You can find our API docs here.
Rate limits now apply to the solar projects and solar designs endpoints: 50 requests per second and 600 per minute per team. Please contact us if you require higher rate limits
