STCs for up to 1MW

Pylon now models STCs for eligible solar systems above 100 kW and up to 1 MW, for installations from 1 October 2026.

Eligible mid-scale systems benefit from a fixed 5-year deeming period. Set the planned installation date in your design and Pylon applies the relevant system-size threshold and deeming period to the calculation.

The Clean Energy Regulator has confirmed the scheme expansion, so you can start modelling eligible upcoming installations in your proposals.

Heat Pump Rebates

Pylon now models NSW Energy Savings Certificates (ESCs) and Victorian Energy Efficiency Certificates (VEECs) for eligible heat pump water heaters.

Choose your heat pump and enter the details of the water heater being replaced. Pylon uses the product eligibility and installation details to calculate the applicable certificates.

We’ve also added eligibility filters to heat pump search, so you can find products for the scheme you’re quoting under.

Project Management (Beta)

We’ve built Project Management to help your team manage installs and stay on top of the paperwork.

Use workflows to track each installation, so you can see what’s been done and what still needs attention. Pylon can automatically create an installation job and start your default workflow when a project is marked sold.

Pricebooks (Beta)

Ever wanted to charge different prices in different regions? Or keep track of pricing changes each time your wholesaler sends through a new price list?

With Pricebooks, you can set up pricing for each service region and create a new version when your costs change. Choose when each version takes effect, so you can have next month’s pricing ready before the month starts.

Import your supplier price lists, match items to components, and set your markups, minimum margins and labour rates.

It’s in beta, and we’d love you to try it with your own supplier price lists and day-to-day quoting. Tell us what works and what needs improving.

Single Line Diagram Improvements

Following the Custom SLD Editor launch in July, we’ve added more components and made the diagrams easier to read and edit:

• Generators: add a generator component to your diagram
• Clearer labels and legends: including the design reference, date, NMI and system capacity
• Labels that move with components: switch labels follow along when you rotate them
• Jemena supply runs: property-boundary and supply-run details for Jemena designs

We’ve also improved snapping, cable placement and battery layout, so there’s less tidying up when you make changes.

Proposal View Notifications

Know when a customer is taking a closer look at your proposal, with three view notifications:

• Proposal viewed: when a customer opens your proposal
• Comparison page viewed: when a customer opens your comparison page
• eSignature viewed: when a customer opens the eSignature page

Email notifications are opt-in for each user. Each team member can turn these three email alerts on or off independently in their own Notification Settings.

• Invoice and receipt downloads now have more descriptive filenames.
• Team admins now receive an email when a new API key is created.

• Job sheets now include the battery site plan and a link to download the Single Line Diagram.
• Expanded user manuals to include heat pump water heaters, EV chargers and air conditioner documents.
• Added battery safety documents to digital handover.
• Proposals now show UL9540A certification for batteries where recorded.

API Improvements

• Air conditioners in the Designs API: the solar design object now includes the air conditioner units, quantities and links to component details for each design.
• Panel certification data: the Solar Modules API now exposes IEC 61215-2021 certification status.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed a bug where proposal text could run off the page.
• Fixed a bug where images pasted into CRM comments didn’t save correctly.
• Fixed a bug where signed proposals didn’t always download correctly through the API.
• Fixed a bug where the ServiceM8 integration could disconnect unexpectedly.
• Fixed a bug where some proposal emails failed without a clear error message.
• Fixed a bug where existing components appeared incorrectly in user manuals.
• Fixed a bug where some WA battery rebates were calculated incorrectly.
• Fixed a bug where NSW battery incentives were missing from some designs.
